Who did every New York county support for president on Election Day?
Most upstate New York counties voted for Donald Trump on Tuesday, though Kamala Harris won in the places where most people live: the areas around Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and Ithaca.
Harris won big in places like Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens. Trump won on Long Island and Staten Island.
Across the state, Trump flipped three counties that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020. Those include Nassau County on Long Island, Clinton County in the North Country and Rockland County downstate.
Broome County in the Southern Tier and Essex County up north both swung back to Trump this year by a small margin. Trump won there in 2016, then Biden in 2020, then Trump again.
